The Election Office of West Bengal seeks Xerox copies of Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Electricity Bills, etc., as proof of address and Date of Birth for each application for updation of Voter ID. While all these documents are easily available online, especially for a government entity like NVSP, the existing practice calls for wastage of large quantity of paper, besides requiring people to physically submit these documents. Online validation would be faster and easier. Please examine this proposal
