In view of the draught like situation in numerous states we now need to think of some WATER GRID like system similar to the one as Electricity Grid Only once the work of inter connecting all the drinking water sources is done throughout the country will we be able to overcome this situation On a smaller scale Why do not we begin by connecting all piped water schemes in a district and cover up the area which still lies uncovered
Hello Keshab.. Good idea I suggested similar last week on PM’s site on water.
In its simplest form using largest diameter pipes to transfer excess water (esp. monsoon) from wettest areas to driest, placing old Victorian style volume pumps along the way, possibly connected to solar panelled electric engines.
Would need a large amount of manpower but would be worth it and create employment.
