Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship

INTRODUCTION

The scheme is designed to recognise, promote and assist girl students belonging to National Minorities by empowering them through financial aid.

Eligibility

Only girl students belonging to six notified Minority Communities- Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis are eligible. Scholarship will be awarded to girl students who are studying in Class 9th to 12th, and have secured at-least 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate in previous class. Annual income of student’s parents’/guardians’ from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2 lakh. Students have to submit the Income certificate of parents’/guardians’ that should be issued by the Competent Authority declared by the State Government/UTs Administration.

Benefits

  • The scholarship amount for admission and course/tuition fee and maintenance allowance will be disbursed under the following two quarters
  • Admission and Tuition fee for classes IX and X- Amount provided is subjected to a maximum ceiling of Rs 10,000 which will be released in two installments of Rs 5000 each
  • Secondly, admission and tuition fee for class XI and XII- Amount provided is subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs 12,000 which will be released in two installments of Rs 6000 each
