Deterrence to crime will happen only when justice is assured within a reasonable time leading to confidence building to take shelter of. In the absence of performance monitoring and reporting in the High courts of the country and Supreme Court of the decisions taken at their Chief Justices Conference for fast tracking of cases of weaker sections of the society cases keep pending for disposal for several years. Monitoring mechanism for reporting and evaluation is needed. Thanks.
