Every Government boasts of serving the poor through populist schemes like Rs 2/KG Rice and Wheat which sucks huge government funds without the beneficiaries putting in any effort to earn. Why do we need such schemes. Why Govt wont encourage schemes to employ and make them EARN through labor. Why should income taxes feed such schemes. More entrepreneurs should be created who can create employment. The poor should take pride in EARNING their live rather than taking donations of the taxpayers.
