I have observed that electric vehicles are becoming increasingly popular in USA for many reasons. Why not make our state transport buses go electric. There are dedicated bus depots,at least in Maharashtra, where buses can be re-charged overnight and be ready for day commute for passengers. A bus with 250 Km range in single charge should be good enough for our needs. This will be cheaper, reduce our reliance on oil which we import and also be environment friendly. Hope someone takes note.
