India should go in aggresively for renewable souce of energy at this stage of economic development when we are restarting our economy. In the auto sector too we must move towards e vehicle regime. But going hybrid will be more useful to avoid playing into the hands of chinese firms who have a near monopoly of batteries manufacturing and control over the raw material required for manufacturing batteries. Disposal of these batteries will be a matter of concern due to environmental issues involved.
