The scholarship is designed to provide OBC students with the necessary financial resources studying at post-matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education.The income ceiling of parents for eligibility stands at Rs 1 lakh per annum.
Scholarship amount would be sanctioned in case of students whose parents’/guardians’ income from all sources do not exceed Rs 1 lakh per annum. To know more about conditions of eligiblity, you can download the PDF.
The value of scholarship disbursed would include maintenance allowance, reader charges for blind students, reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees, study tour charges/thesis typing/printing charges and book allowance for students pursuing correspondence courses . All the State Governments/UT Administrations will announce in May-June the details of the Scheme and invite applications by issuing an advertisement in the leading newspapers of the State and through other media outfits. All requests for application forms and other particulars should be addressed to the concerned State/UT to which students actually belong.
