STREET LIGHT SWITCHING – Light Intensity sensors to be installed nationwide to automatically control switching on and off of street lights, to save electricity and enhance safety of people. This is particularly relevant as in winter months, when it is very dark in the mornings and sunset is earlier. Automatic switching will be based on ambient light , not on time.This is very important for safety and even efficient use of Electricity Board personnel
